The Bürgerstock Resort is located in central Switzerland at 1128 m above sea level. The resort has always been a popular holiday destination. Since the Grand Hotel was built in 1873, famous personalities from all over the world have resided here – Charlie Chaplin or Audrey Hepburn are just two to be mentioned here. After the Bürgenstock reopened in 2017 after nine years of construction, it included four hotels, a medical wellness centre, top business infrastructure, numerous gourmet restaurants and the 10,000 m2 Bürgerstock Alpine Spa. The resort is a 60-hectare landmark and covers an area of one kilometer.

High demands – also on the in-house laundry

The in-house laundry at the Bürgenstock Resort was put into operation in 2018. Lingerie manager Sofia Brilhante and her team are responsible for checking, sorting, storing and issuing staff uniforms, table linen and kitchen linen. The guests’ clothes are also washed here. The Schulthess washing machines and Schulthess tumble dryers are in use all day. “Thanks to the new Schulthess washing machines, we are more efficient, we can wash more volume and the washing machines are programmed according to our wishes,” Sofia Brilhante enthuses. To ensure the best possible service, the in-house laundry also has a doll finisher that processes the blouses and shirts, a trouser topper that irons the trousers, and a mangle that finishes the kitchen laundry.

“Thanks to the Schulthess finisher system, we can save a lot of time because we no longer have to iron anything by hand,” says Sofia Brilhante. The guests’ laundry is brought directly to their rooms. The staff’s freshly laundered uniforms go to the clothing distribution system. There, the employees can obtain new clothes with their badge as soon as they have returned the used ones. This system is uncomplicated because a chip is embedded in each item of clothing. This means that you can check where each item of clothing is at any time. The lingerie manager is enthusiastic about the longevity and robustness of the Schulthess equipment – “the price-performance ratio is great!

Das Bürgerstock Resort liegt in der Zentralschweiz auf 1128 m ü. M. Das Resort ist seit jeher ein beliebter Ferienort. Seit 1873 das Grand Hotel gebaut wurde, residieren hier berühmte Persönlichkeiten aus aller Welt – Charlie Chaplin oder Audrey Hepburn sind nur zwei, die hier erwähnt sein sollen. Nachdem das Bürgenstock nach neun Jahren Bauzeit im Jahr 2017 wiedereröffnet wurde, umfasste es vier Hotels, ein Medical Wellness Center, eine Top-Business-Infrastruktur, zahlreiche Feinschmecker-Restaurants und das 10’000 m2 grosse Bürgerstock Alpine Spa. Das Resort ist ein 60 Hektar grosses Wahrzeichen und erstreckt sich über eine Fläche von einem Kilometer.

Hohe Ansprüche – auch an die Inhouse-Wäscherei

Die Inhouse-Wäscherei im Bürgenstock Resort wurde 2018 in Betrieb genommen. Lingerie-Managerin Sofia Brilhante ist mit ihrem Team verantwortlich für die Kontrolle, Sortierung, Lagerung und Ausgabe der Uniformen der Mitarbeitenden, Tisch- und Küchenwäsche. Auch die Kleidung der Gäste wird hier gewaschen. Die Schulthess-Waschmaschinen und Schulthess-Wäschetrockner sind den ganzen Tag im Einsatz. «Dank den neuen Waschmaschinen von Schulthess sind wir effizienter, wir können mehr Volumen waschen, und die Waschmaschinen sind nach unseren Wünschen programmiert», schwärmt Sofia Brilhante. Um den bestmöglichen Service zu gewährleisten, hat die hauseigene Wäscherei zusätzlich einen Puppenfinisher, der die Blusen und Hemden verarbeitet, ein Hosentopper, der die Hosen bügelt, sowie eine Mangel, die die Küchenwäsche fertig verarbeitet.

«Dank dem Finisher-System von Schulthess können wir sehr viel Zeit einsparen, da wir nichts mehr von Hand bügeln müssen», so Sofia Brilhante. Die Wäsche der Gäste wird ihnen direkt auf ihr Zimmer gebracht. Die frisch gewaschenen Uniformen der Mitarbeitenden kommen in das Kleiderausgabesystem. Dort können die Angestellten mit ihrem Badge neue Kleidung beziehen, sobald sie die gebrauchte zurückgebracht haben. Dieses System funktioniert unkompliziert, da in jedes Kleidungsstück einen Chip eingearbeitet ist. Somit kann man jederzeit kontrollieren, wo sich welches Kleidungsstück befindet. Die Lingerie-Managerin ist begeistert von der Langlebigkeit und der Robustheit der Schulthess-Geräte – «das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist super!».

«Die Ansprüche bei uns auf dem Bürgenstock sind hoch, deshalb haben wir uns für die komplette Dienstleistung von Schulthess entschieden», sagt die Lingerie-Managerin.
